These terms apply when you use hwtierlist (https://hwtierlist.com). By using the site, or by creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the rankings are
Tier lists and scores are editorial opinions, formed from published reviews, benchmarks and the method explained on How it's ranked. Prices are launch prices (MSRP), or a named store's price when it was last checked, and any figure can be wrong or out of date. Nothing here is professional or financial advice: check current prices, compatibility and reviews yourself before you buy anything.
Accounts
- You must be at least 13 to create an account, and one person may hold one account.
- Keep your password safe. We don't collect email addresses, so we can't reset a forgotten password.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.
Posting rules
When you post, you agree not to post:
- swearing, insults, slurs, harassment, threats, or anything hateful or encouraging self-harm;
- sexual content;
- advertising, spam, links, or anything posted to promote yourself or others;
- personal details, yours or anyone else's: phone numbers, addresses, card numbers and the like;
- anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or anything you don't have the right to share;
- content pretending to be someone else, or to speak for hwtierlist;
- false claims about owning a product.
Moderation
Posts are checked automatically when you submit them, and posts that fail the checks are not shown. Readers can report posts; a post that several people report is hidden until it is reviewed. We may remove any post, and suspend or delete any account that breaks these rules, at any time and without notice. Automatic checks make mistakes in both directions: if a fair post was blocked, you can write to us.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give hwtierlist a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, display and share it as part of the site (including in share previews), for as long as it stays on the site. When you delete a post or your account, that permission ends, apart from copies that briefly remain in backups.
Our content
The rankings, scores, text and design of hwtierlist belong to us. You're welcome to share links and quote short parts with a link back.
Other sites
We link to reviews, benchmarks and social networks we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
No warranty, and limits on liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable, incomplete or wrong. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on it, including buying decisions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced on the site before they take effect. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
